"FIRST PRAYERS" by Nana

Readers have asked me for some simple prayers their grandchildren might memorize.  This is the first of what I hope will be several I would like to write for you all to use with your grandkids.  This one would work for any child who is 1 1/2 - 5 years of age.  After that, you should add more advanced concepts of who God is.  For now, this is simple, easy to remember, and true! 1) Say the pray for the child. 2) Now ask the child to repeat it with you! Be sure to use hand gestures upward when you get to "I can raise my hands!" and use lots of smiles and an enthusiastic tone! Ready?

“My First Worship!”  by Nana

“God’s in Heaven, watching o’er me,

I’m on earth, loving Him, see me?

I can raise my hands; I can give Him praise;

I can sing a song for Him, and follow Him all my days!”

I think it is wonderful that children can be tought how to talk to God at such an early age.I think ,if mor parents and grandparents would teach prayer to their grandchildren at a young age,we might not have as many disturbed teens in our society today.I love your website.Keep up the good work.
